Having received his education in the home town of Reading Berkshire, which included musical training in organ and the counter tenor voice, Siney went onto pursue a grounding in electronics before landing his dream job at Decca Records. Fortunate to be taken in hand by the great masters of the time and having been completely immersed in the wonders of The Decca Sound, Siney soon progressed to the role of Balance Engineer, embarking in professional relationships with the likes of Riccardo Chailly, Valerie Gergiev, Cecilia Bartoli, Juan Diego Florez, Jonas Kaufmann, Joseph Calleja, Angela Gheorghiu, Vladamir Ashkenazy, and Nelson Freire – to name but a few.

Since becoming freelance, Siney armed with a wealth of knowledge and experience; now boast his own arsenal of high quality recording equipment. A specialist in microphone choice and placement, he attains recordings of the highest calibre.

From the simplest of solo instrument projects up to full opera productions, Siney can equip and engineer with the ease and expertise required in the demanding times of today. Full post production requirements are offered with the latest noise removal, reverberation and sonic enhancement tools. Editing demands can be undertaken by drawing on the talents of ex Decca colleagues Ian Watson and Jenni Whiteside.

Since joining the freelance World, Siney has been introduced to many other great persons of note within the recording Industry. Ongoing close working relationships have been formed with producers John Fraser, Chris Alder, Arend Prohmann, Mark Brown, Andrew Walton, as well as continuing with ex Decca colleague – Producer Andrew Cornall, working on the wonderful collaborations with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
